Excel 2000 crash with ActiveX component

My Excel crashes when I open a document where I've added
ActiveX-combobox on a sheet (and I do NOTHING else with it).
It doesn't matter if I "enable macros" or not.

Any ideas?

xl uses your windows temp folder for storing lots of stuff associated with
activex controls.

Maybe, just maybe, if you clean up that temp folder, xl won't crash.

(When that folder gets filled with lots of junk, it can confuse excel--slow it
down and other bad things.)
