Exceeded client Licences

Hi Guys

We are using SBS 2000, and trying to use the TS component in application
mode.

Origonally it was setup in remote admin mode, so we have changed that to
application mode.

When trying to connect more than 2 XP Pro clients we get the message

"the terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections"

We have reinstalled the licencing server and reinstalled terminal serives on
the server, but we cannot get the third person logged on conncurrently.

Is this a restriction on SBS or does the server still think it is in remote
admin mode.

Thanks

Thanks for that we have checked and there are no limits. We are only using TS
to access a database across a vpn, and the customer does not want to pay for
citrix.

Any other ideas on the concurrent user problem ??

Have you checked the EventLog? If the limitation is on
*concurrent* connections, then the cause can be that either the TS
thinks that it is in Remote Administration mode (I've never heard
of such a problem before), or the server is running out of normal
server CALs (these are concurrent). If the latter, the EventLog
should contain a message telling you which product (presumably
SBS) is out of licenses.
