Is there a place to look at templates or copy examples of 2003 word documents
that have multiple columns. Basically, 8 x 11 word documents that look like
news paper articles.

I know how to use the Borders to create Lines & boxes but you can included
those examples, too.

No. How do I find the templates for newsletters?

If there are none that ship with Word, look at
http://office.microsoft.com/templates/default.aspx?
