Exact matches on nicknames

How can I configure Outlook 2003 so that only finds exact
matches for nicknames in my contact list? If I want to
send a note to jim I don't want it coming back with a list
including jimt, jimbo, bojim, jimmycrackcorn, etc. I just
want "jim".

Gary,

I think that if you edit the name field so that you have Name = JIM AND and
e-mail address like (e-mail address removed) you should be able to load it by just
typing Jim and a few spaces in the name portion of the file.

I just read what I wrote and I admit that it sounds confusing. There are
two fields that belong to each autocomplete entry, name and e-mail address.
If you have an entry in the name portion of Jim followed by a couple of
spaces, it should only find Jim if you type JIMand a space. It shouldn't
bring up Jimbo. As the b in Jimbo is not a space.

Tell ya what, go to www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm Download the demo
version of Owtlook. You can then load your autocomplete file and see how
your information is stored. You don't need to buy it just to see your file
info.

That might help explain what I am doing such a poor job at explaining.

Better yet; disable the caching and use CTRL+K (CTRL+M on some locale
versions of Outlook) instead to resolve the names in your Address Book.
You can disable the caching by going to Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences->
button E-mail Options...-> button Advanced E-mail Options...-> option at the
bottom; suggest names...
