I've Outlook 2007.

Lately when I click Send/Receive I get this 'Enter Network Password' window
everytime and I've to type my password every 15 minutes. Although I've
ticked where it says Save this password in your password list I still have
to type my password every 15 minutes.

This window also contains information like incoming server (POP3) details
and User Name. It is a nuisance to type password frquently. Any solution
to fix the problem would be appreciated. Thank you.

If you use a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.

I've disabled virus scanner but still get the password window. So no change
here.

Has this been a clean install of Outlook or an upgrade from a previous
version?
Do you only have 1 POP3 account configured?

Hi Zach,
I had the same problem right after installing a Microsoft Security Update.
The problem is that your Outlook profile in your registry has been corrupted
by a recent update or a conflict with your antivirus software. While
Microsoft has a bulletin addressing the
problem(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us), the correction
involves tweaking your regedit file and that is a dicey proposition. My
suggestion would be to first try using your System Restore tool to take you
back to a date when your Outlook was working correctly.

If that doesn't do the trick, follow the Method 1 Resolution in the bulletin
in reference and try creating a new identity. Last but not least, follow the
entire procedure laid out in the bulletin BUT ONLY AFTER MAKING A COMPLETE
BACK UP OF YOUR SYSTEM AND FILES! Like I said, it involves risk that you
might have to re-load XP if you make a mistake so better to be safe than
sorry.

Good Luck, Zach!
