Every time I use Outlook my screen resolution changes

When I start up Outlook my monitor screen goes dark and the resolution
reverts to the lowest possible resolution. Even when I set it back to what I
had any emails or links I open up causes it to change resolution again. When
I close these new windows it goes back to my original resolution. Is there
any way to resolve this problem?

I'm having the exact same problem: Every time I open Outlook (2000)my screen,
resolution changes to 640x480. When I close Outlook, it restores the screen
size. I've changed it in display settings several times, but it always goes
back to 640x480 once I open Outlook.
