every time I try detect and repair, requires office disk and fails

to do anything, I got to detect and repair and it grinds for a while and
then it simply asks for the office disk followed by then just takes the disk
and windows disapear without doing anything. why and how do I get it to
run??
 
Try a re-install? Did you install the complete package, have everything set
to run from your computer, or did you have some options set to run from CD?
 
I installed everything, how long does detect and repair take?? maybe it is
finishing in a blink of an eye and I just don't realize it, I just assumed
it would take a while
