Szkg is not a Windows file. Unless you have reason to believe that it
belongs to a program you have installed, you may assume it is part of a
virus or other malware infection.

Ted, could you tell me how to get rid or test the sz file?

Above are the other errors I am getting. My restore system will not work.

This is my first posting, so please forgive me if I am being stupid.
But I cannot see any advice on how to remove this 'szkg'. I too
have found the same Warning Message in Event viewer:

“The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
szkg”

I have run various anti spyware programmes and Norton system works, but
nothing is highlighted. I read on another forum that this szkg was
connected to Stopzilla. But having emailed them, they say it is not
known to them.

Help, how do I get rid of it.

My Windows XP (SP-2) suddenly crashes without warning anywhere from 20-50
minutes after booting up. The "Events and Errors Message" states:

Event I.D. = 7026
Source = Service Control Manager
Version 5.0
Component = System Event Log
Symbolic Name = EVENT_BOOT_SYSTEM_DRIVERS_FAILED
Message = The following boot-start or system-start drivers failed to load:

ersd
estf

The system error codes reported on the "blue screen" are:
Error code 10000df, parameter 1 00000008, parameter 2 80042000, parameter 3
300000000, parameter 4 0000000.

I ran CHKDSK and no problems were reported. I then ran Windows Upgrade
Advisor and there were no problems with my system, devices, or programs. My
anti-virus software is BitDefender 9 and I also run Spy Sweeper, Spybot, and
Ad-Ware SE. None of these reported any problems. My graphics card, sound
card, and other peripherals do not have any new drivers. I ran the registry
cleaning software ErrorSmart and it did not pick up any driver or other
conflicts which would cause a crash. I recently defragged the hard drive so
I assume that the above drivers are in the most appropriate location, The
system crashes continue.

Any advice on solving the above driver problems would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert H.
