Hi
I have Windows XP and Windows 2000 client PCs logging onto a small business
2000 server. Everytime the client logs on, we get the following event ids in
the event viewer of the client PCs: Eventid: 1030 Source: Userenv - Windows
cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects and eventid: 1058 Source:
Userenv - Windows cannot access teh file gpt.ini for GPO CN = {31B...}
They can work away as normal but the events keep appearing in the
application log in event viewer.
Any ideas why these appear?
Regards
Sean

See tip 7983 » Your Active Directory clients record event IDs 1030 and 1058?
in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsifaq.com

See tip 5168 » Group policies are NOT applied as expected on Windows XP, and the Application Event log contains Event ID 1058 and Event ID 1030?
