Hi,

I recently installed a Windows Server 2003 (standard edition) as domain
controller.

When I boot the domain controller, it keeps hanging for several minutes on
"Preparing your networkconnections". After the delay it runs smootly.
When I check the eventviewer, there are two errors in the applicationlog
which keep coming back. (I have no idea if this is related to the slow boot)

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1030
Date: 21/07/2003
Time: 0:43:42
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: INSANITYDC
Description:
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the event
log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that
describes the reason for this.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1058
Date: 21/07/2003
Time: 0:43:42
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: INSANITYDC
Description:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO
CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=insanity,
DC=org. The file must be present at the location
<\\insanity.org\sysvol\insanity.org\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04F
B984F9}\gpt.ini>. (Configuration information could not be read from the
domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has
been denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

I've already verified security permissions and they are set correctly on the
gpt.ini. (access has been denied)

Can anyone help me out on this? Any suggestions? Please advice...

Thanks in advance.

ThijsD.
