Using WinXP Home, where the heck is the DATA box in Event viewer, MS says
to view the Binary Data as characters,in the DATA box , click Bytes, to
view Binary data as DWords click Words?

In Event Viewer, right click the event in the right hand pane.
Select Properties from the menu.
The Data box is at the bottom of the properties dialog.
