Event Viewer

I run XP SP2 with IE7. Have also just uninstalled Windows Live OneCare (full
version , not the beta).

OneCare has left behind a .evt file which cannot be deleted manually.
Looking in Event Viewer I see that One Care has added a folder there in
addition to the 3 conventional ones. A folder has also been added for IE
which is always empty.

Can someone advise please how to edit Event Viewer to delete both the
OneCare and IE folders/headings completely.

Many Thanks

See this article. Ignore the title about corrupt logs. It gives the
procedure for deleting them a log file.
