Event Viewer

Fire

I want to ask something about Event Viewer. I try
remotely opening another computer to see the event log.
But I got access denied. I have a few computers connected
with router. I use computer 192.168.0.101 to open event
viewer remotely. I can remotely open event viewer
192.168.0.105 but not for 192.168.0.108. Is it a security
problem? What can I set?

This has to do with the fact that computers in a workgroup or home network
use the accounts that are local to them to decide what level of access you
will be allowed. Only users with administrative privelages are allowed to
use the Event Viewer.

That said the following KB might be of assistance:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;323076

Its written for Windows 2003 but should work the same for XP.
