Event Viewer msg re Activation

I've just uninstalled XP Home SP2, reverting back to SP1. In Event
Viewer I then found the surprising message:
"Your Windows product has not been activated with Microsoft yet.
Please use the Product Activation Wizard within 30 days."

On using Start|All Programs|System Tools|Activate Windows I then
received the (unsurprising) message that my system was already
activated.

Why the Event Viewer 'Error' please?

Or even confusion? But what two threads do you mean? Whatever the
other thread is that you have in mind, I'd have thought it far less
potentially confusing to keep complex queries as narrowly focused as
possible.

Anyone with any thoughts on the problem I raised please?
