Event Viewer issues

We have a Windows 2000 Server that does not show the
entries in the event viewer for applications. Even
though it shows that it has 762 events in the file. All
the othe r event entries are okay.

Does any one have a fix for this problem? Any help
would be appreciated

Did your problem begin after installation of security
patches MS04-004 and MS04-007? That's when it started for
me. System log ok? Mine is, except that after I view it,
it shows 0 entries. When I close and re-open, the entries
are back again.
