Event Viewer Entries - LoadPerf

Sam

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Pro (SP2) . Each day,
I have numerous entries in the Application folder, Event Viewer as follows:

Source: LoadPerf, Category: None, Event ID: 1000. Description: Performance
counters for the WmiApRpt(WmiApRpl) service were loaded successfully. The
Record Data contains the new index values assigned to this services.

Would very much appreciate any comments about the above event entry.
Thanks, Sam

Among other ways, this happens as a result of running
Start | Run | Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

It can also happen after running CHKDSK.

Thanks very much for your reply. I have run chkdsk in the last few days
because of preparation for new software installs. However, I would
appreciate the identification of the program or action that results from the
following you mentioned in your reply:

"Start | Run | Rundll32.exe
advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks."

Would that be the Task Manager?

Thanks for any further help, Sam.

Sam,

It's part of how Prefetching works.

Optimize hard disk when idle This allows Windows to rearrange files on the
hard disk when the computer is not in use to improve performance.
