Event Viewer - Application Log Error

I keep getting the following
errors in the Application Log every 2 minutes

The Open Procedure for service "ODBC" in
DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\ODBC32.DLL" failed. Performance
data for this service will not be available. Status code
returned is data DWORD 0.

Followed by the error .....

The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from
a remote computer. The following information is part of
the event: Error in d:\mdac27sp1qfe\odbc\core\dm\perf.c
(282), Access is denied.
: Failed to open
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ODBC\
Performance.

What Should I do to stop getting these messages. Please
help.

I don't know exactly why the problem happens, but you can stop getting the error messages by disabling monitoring for Connection Pooling in ODBC.

So, open ODBC, go to Connection Pooling and for 'monitoring', click disable.
