Event time off by an hour

D

Dan Jos

I know this issue has been brought up before but some of our users are still
encoutering it.

When a meeting is created and others invited, the time they get when they
accept the request is an hour earlier than the original time.

We have set the outlook time to match the system time and time zone and day
light savings is enabled both in the control panel and the Outlook calendar
time. We also made sure the system time matches the system bios time. All
users are in the same time zone.

Is there anything else I need to be looking for? This is a very serious
situation as we have a lot of meetings being setup on a daily basis.

Urgent help is needed on this and is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Sorry

You did that in outlook menu options - calendar options ?
When everybody has the same settings in outlook and control panel it should
be ok when you create a new item.

It's likely that someone (or the server) still has a DST mismatch between
Windows and Outlook.

Has *everyone* checked their own system for:

System date/time/time zone
Outlook calendar time zone?

Remember, if someone changes the time zone, appointments created after that
will be fine, but older ones will shift by an hour. I once found an app to
help with this but can't remember it now- the MS workaround is to export the
calendar to PST, empty the calendar, change the settings, and import/move
the items back into the real calendar. www.slipstick.com may help.

don't export to a pst - it won't fix them. Export to excel or a CSV instead.

Thanks, Diane - I was in autopilot mode.
Do you recall the app/utility that purported to help with this (without
exporting)?

Thanks everyone. I will try to track down the offending machine and let you
know what I find out.
