Ok, I give up!!

Where do you go to find out information on Event ID's and
what they mean.

or is this just another ploy by Billy the kid and the rest
of the Microsoft Burglars to extort more cash from
humanity by only making this info available to those with
open wallets??

Um, you have many free resources. For example, you can go to
www.microsoft.com and use the Search option. You can go to Google and
search there. You can go to eventid.net and search there. You could
post the event ID here and have a helpful person look it up for you.
You could even call for support if you can't figure it out on your own.
I guess that's extortion, though? *shrug*
