I am receiving the following error when I boot my PC under System.

Details
Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 7026
Source: Service Control Manager
Version: 5.0
Component: System Event Log
Symbolic Name: EVENT_BOOT_SYSTEM_DRIVERS_FAILED
Message: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
black

I am not sure what black is. I used to run Black Ice but I now run ZA. I
removed Black Ice using add/remove under control panel.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rick

Click Start, Run (Type) Regedit [Enter]
Navigate to:
HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

Expand that key, underneath will be the Services/Drivers for
the PC. Check the alphabetical listing and see if you can find
a "Black" or similar. If found, Left Click it to show the details
in the Right Pane. Locate a Key named Start and modify it's
value to 4 and disable it from starting up.

Have you ever tried NOD 32 anti-virus?

Hope this helps.

Thanks. When I went into Regedit I found black. I changed it's value as you
advised. Problem resolved. It was Black Ice. I am surprised that either Easy
Clean or Registry Mechanic didn't find that problem.

Thanks again,
Rick
