event id 7000

I am getting users who's Xp SP1 machines at startup do
not see the network. In the event log I find error 7000.
The pipe state is invalid for just about every service.
Anyone ever encoutered this before. It seems to only
happen on IBM PC's that I took the factory install on and
not ones that I built from scratch.
 
Thanks Stephen. That helped a lot because I had been having some serious problems with the event id 7000. I think you were right in thinking that the NetDetect Task for Norton was corrupt. Appreciate it.
