Event ID 55

I recieve multiple instances of the following error in the system log when
logging in to a windows 2003 SP1 member server.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NTFS
Event ID: 55
Description:
The file system structure on disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the
chkdsk utility on the volume "Drive_letter:"

This machine is being used as a DFS root host.

any ideas?

Yes. I rebooted, ran chkdsk /f /r and fixed the errors found. This only seems
to clear the problem temporarily. After a few days the error returns.

I looks like you have a defective disk or a memory problem. But you're
essentially asking in the wrong newsgroup. Please direct your question
to a Windows 2003 administrative newsgroup. They can probably help you
much better than all the developers here.
