Hi,

In our Windows 2000 AD domain, we have five domain
controllers:
PDC 1 (dns server)
BDC 2 (dns server)
BDC 3
BDC 4
BDC 5

I have installed to BDC 2 "Mercury Test director" -testing software. It's
possible to send e-mails automatically to certain people with Test Director,
but message delivery fails.
These messages can be found from BDC2 event viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: smtpsvc
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4000
Date: 8.10.2004
Time: 10:57:37
User: N/A
Computer: BDC2
Description:
Message delivery to the remote domain 'BDC2' failed for the following
reason: Unable to deliver the message because the destination address was
misconfigured as a mail loop.

Data:
0000: cf 02 04 c0 Ã..À

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: smtpsvc
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4001
Date: 8.10.2004
Time: 10:57:37
User: N/A
Computer: BDC2
Description:
Message delivery to the remote domain 'something.com' failed. The error
message is 'An SMTP protocol error occurred.
'. The SMTP verb which caused the error is 'RCPT'. The response from the
remote server is '504 <[email protected]>: Sender address rejected: need
fully-qualified address
'.
Data:
0000: d7 02 04 c0 ×..À

If I send e-mail-messages manually, everything works fine. Could someone
enlighten me, what is wrong ?
