Anybody knows how to deal with this error?

"ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0x71),
which lies in the 0x70 - 0x71 protected address range. This could lead to
system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical
assistance".

I have tried to chat with Compaq tech online and was given BIOS with same
date as the one they have on their website. The system will turn itself
completely off whenever it wants. It is a Compaq presarion 5000 5012US with
XP Pro.

It seems to be a bios or bios setting issue.
