Hi All,

I'm getting Event ID 1000 @ 1001 errors every 5 minutes, I
did all the fixes that is there in Microsoft Articles, but
still this problem is not resolved.Because of this error
I'm unable to access some machines for shared folders, it
says that "//Computer Name" cannot be accessible.
How do I resolve this problem, Could you please someone

If you run net share on all of the DCs do you see the
sysvol share on all of them?

Are you getting these errors on only the DCs?
For the machines that you can't access the shares what are
they, DCs or member servers or 2000Pro workstations?
What is the error when you try to map to a share and it
fails?

Yes , I do see Sysvol share on all DC's.
Yes, I'm getting this errors on only Dc's.
THe machine ,I'm trying to access is windows 2000 server-
Standalone in default Workgroup.
I'm not able to map to Share folder on this windows 2000
Server-Standalone.

Thanks,
Jay

I think you have two seperate issues. The standalone
server that is not part of your domain is probably not
causing the errors, unless it was initially part of the
domain and then removed.

On the standalone server, what permissions are on the
share? Who has the right to access this server from the
network? What are the NTFS permissions on the shared
directories?

Whom ever is trying to map a drive needs to be able to
access the server from the network, have full control of
the share and have enough NTFS permissions on the shared
directories to at least read and list.

I had the same errors on my network but was told to ignore
them by microsoft. They finally stopped but I hate being
told to ignore an error. Once the stopped I lost interest
inthem but I will look further and get back to you.

Hi,
I think first added this Machine to domain then I removed
from Domain, I think so.
For standalone system, only limited users have permissions
on shared folder and the same users are there in DC's with
same password.I think only one user have right to acess
this standalone computer and this user have administrator
rights and other all users also can acess this standalone
computer with default shared drives.
NTFS permissions are default, nothing much set the
permission on NTFS.
I think my these input will give some idea for you to look
further.
Thanks, Charles, Hoping to receive further solutions..

Exact Wordings are:
Scecli:1001
Security Policy cannot be propagated, cannot access the
template. error code 3
Userenv:1001
The group policy client side extension scurity was passes
flags 17 and returnes the failure status code of 3.

And also I have two NIC card on one of the Dc's ( Not the
one I have the problem).

Thanks,
Jay
