Event 3019

We are running Win Xp pro. SP2. the domain is Win 2003 Standard Server, I
found articles explaining this event code 3019, but it pertains to
WinNt/Win2k..what about Win XP / 2003....???

The redirector failed to determine the connection type.....

The redirector could not determine the physical characteristics of the
connection, for example, the media type or bandwidth. Typically, this
occurs when the computer uses a tunneled connection such as a virtual
private network (VPN) or a Point-to-Point over Ethernet (PPPoE) to connect
to the Internet. This message is logged for informational purposes only.

Thanks Dave, I actualy found these articles..I guess it is supposed to be
ignored, I was just wondering if there was a service that could be disabled...

Steve, I had the same problem on the number of my Winxp SP2 clients.
Every time these clients connected to the mapped network drive - this event
3019 logged. I also ignored this, but later I solved this problem by
installing the hotfix from
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;884020.
