EULA Problem

Help anyone?
I have just re-installed XP Home but when I try to install the usb drivers
my acceptance of the EULA is not recognised. So I cant get the USB drivers
installed.
Why wont it recognise that I am clicking on "accept"?

Also, when I try to install the LAN drivers I get:
"can not find proper NIC, click exit ok to exit program"
What is NIC?

Hey SpongeBob.
I want my computer to work as it used to, for my daughters' sake as much as
mine.
(just got Sims2)
I want to understand what is wrong so I can stop it happening again.
It takes me a while but I usually understand in the end.
So I guess "point me in the right direction" would be good, then I'll come
back and pay you the 50 bucks an hour when I have failed...
