Eudora to Outlook migration

I need to migrate a user from Eudora 4.3 on Mac OS9 to Outlook on
WinXP. I've tried this before following what little info I could dig
up from Qualcomm and Microsoft, neither of which are any help when the
prescribed method hiccups or fails.

Previously, following the Outlook import procedure, it took repeated
attempts following the same steps before Outlook finally recognized
the file and imported the address book information. But I could never
get it to import messages or mailboxes.

Any ideas? Are there better instructions out there somewhere?

Outlook Express has an import function from Eudora. Then
import from Outlook Express into Outlook.

Outlook Express has an import function from Eudora. Then
import from Outlook Express into Outlook.

When we imported from Eudora with Outlook 2000, it worked well. To preserve
dates on sent messages, however, importing to OE and then exporting to OL
works better.
