errror when using cmd

Hi,
Whenever i enter in run - cmd my system automatically restarts.
My operating system is windows 2000.I have no clue why this is
happening.
Can somebody help me with this .

Not really batch related but is there a setting to stop the system from
automatically rebooting, so you can see the blue screen error message to
google on. There is such a setting in XP amongst control panel...

Control Panel | System | Advanced | Startup and Recovery and deselect
Automatically reboot.

As others have indicated this is how Microsoft solved the "blue screen"
problem...

Did you try Run cmd.exe

?
