ErrorSafe on MS Vista machine

My computer is infected with the ErrorSafe spyware/adware. I'm
running a current year model HP Pavilion computer with Windows Vista
Home. I run AVG at startup and it updates itself daily. I run Ad-
Aware and Spybot weekly, but they do not run at startup. Errorsafe to
me is just annoying, but I have read it can be more than annoying. My
symptoms are: the popup windows (I always click X to close it, but it
opens a browser window anyway pointing to the ErrorSafe website) and
if I try to search for "ErrorSafe" in either Firefox or IE7, the
browser window closes. It does the same thing in Windows Explorer if
I attempt to search for ErrorSafe files/folders. I have updated and
ran Ad-Aware, Spybot, AVG, Vundu(?), XoftSpySE, Spyhunter, and a
couple of other suggested programs for removing ErrorSafe. None of
them worked. Seems like at least one of the last three wouldn't run
on Vista. Spybot did find ErrorSafe once, but it did not completely
remove it. I've tried booting into Safe Mode and then running the
listed programs, but ErrorSafe remains. Symantec's instructions on
removing ErrorSafe do not seem to include Vista. I know ErrorSafe has
been covered in depth on the web and in newsgroups, but I was not able
to find a solution to the problem as it pertained to Vista. Most of
what I saw was posted in 2005 or earlier. I assume that there is a
newer ErrorSafe version out now. Fortunately I have two computers,
the other runs XP, and I can search for ErrorSafe on it. I have also
updated from Java Runtime Environment 6, Update 1, which is what I was
running when ErrorSafe showed up, to Update 2. That has not changed
anything as far as ErrorSafe is concerned. Does anyone know of a site
with instructions or program that can remove all traces of ErrorSafe
from Windows Vista?
