errors typing url

My IE is acting very strange, several weird errors.
First the blue bar across the top of the screen
frequently changes by itself from dark to light blue.
Very often, when I'm typing in a URL, text will change
from lower case to upper case, the when I try to type a
period I get a > Then it gets to a point where I just
have to close and reopen IE. Also, the wheel on my mouse
will stop scrolling and instead change the text size
setting in IE, or sometimes it will just highlight all
the text on the screen. Please help

do a virus scan. a free one grisoft.com or scan for
spyware safer-networking.org spybot update scan on
easy mode and remove scum.
