Errors caused by Incredimail in Outlook

FYI for anyone else running into these errors:

Incredimail is an 'enhancement' to Outlook.
http://www.incredimail.com/

After some unknown time, a customer starting getting
errors from 'send/receive' everytime Outlook went to
check for new mail. The error code seems unique and
is 0x800CCC97 (along with some associated text).
Email seemed to get received and sent ok, even tho
the messages occurred all the time.

The solution was to DE-install Incredimail.

I thought "Incredimail" is an enhancement to Outlook EXPRESS, not
Outlook.......

It's not just for OE any more.

And without doing further testing on the Office Outlook add-on, I'm
quite confident that it will hose up either version, which was the
OP's point.

The Incredimail web site offers a separate mail client to Outlook and
Outlook Express or an Outlook add-on.

Well, no, if you use the separate client. It doesn't have any ties to
either program.
