Errors-can't delete!

I am getting numerous failures to delete spyware, adware. malware, etc.
Error numbers are 0x80004005 and 0x8050826. I have followed some of the
advice given to others but nothing seems to work.
My OS is 2000 professional.
Please advise.
 
Me too, 4 items picked up one for deletion ASAP but fails to remove/delete it.
Have tried four other virus type bits of software and they dont pick it up,
just defender.
One is called Aureate or something have looked about it on the net and found
it to be bad for your system with many popups. How can i get rid :)

Okay MVP where are you? Can't anyone solve my problem? What good is defender
if it cannot delete problems? I might as well delete the whole program and
move on to some thing else!
