Errors Building after Updates

I'm using SP1 and just installed some QFEs and added Direct X 9 component.
When I build, I get the following error:

Error 1106: Multiple active components collision between: "Outlook
Express - Hotfix Q330994 #2 [Version 6.0.2800.1123.1, R1900]" and: "Outlook
Express - Hotfix Q330994 [Version 6.0.2800.1123.1, R1900]"

Any ideas what i can do to fix it? I removed the Outlook component and also
tried reinstalling Q330994 but that did not fix the problem.

Tim,

Looks like some component(s) in your Configuration are mistakenly trying to add one more instance for the OE.
I don't think that error is related to DirectX component since the one does not add OE as dependency of any level.

It would be interesting to know which component in your configuration is trying to do that. Check that out with either:
- Dependency Checker log (when you remove the OE first)
- ConfigurationExplorer component of XPeTools package on www.xpefiles.com. It should allow you to see what components in your
Configuration depend on specified one.
Also, check if your own component somehow are trying to add OE.

Btw, you may later want to install Hotfix Q837009 as it will bring latest revision of the OE component.
