Error Writing to MsMpCom.dll

I have downloaded Defender. As I began to install the program everything
seemed to be fine. Thn half way through the install this error message pops
up.

"Error writing to c:/Program Files/WindowsDefender/MsMpCom.dll. Verify that
you have access to that directory"

I have searched in my WindowsDefender folder and this MsMpCom.dll is missing.

What to do?

Are you installing from an Admin Authority login id, and do you have your
system set to show hidden files and folders? What does your properties >
security tab show for your access to the folder C:Program Files / Windows
Defender?
