Error while trying to install Office 2007 Beta

Guest

I have tried 4 times now, to install Office 2007 beta on Vista beta 2 build
5384. I get the error "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation
of assembly component {97F8-etc etc}. HRESULT: 0x007054F

Running as an administrator does not solve this, nor does only trying to
install Word and Excel.

Any solutions are appreciated.

Try:
disabling antivirus, antispyware. run Windows update.
This also may be a corrupt download.
Cannot find a kb relating to Office and Vista (both are still beta) will
supply you with links that can give you a general idea of what may be
occurring. Hopefully someone who knows a lot more than me (they are
numerous here) can jump in.

It will cost 20 minutes and $.30 to find out. Re-download and re-burn, then
see what happens.

I installed Vista X64 and Office 2007 from the DVDs I got from Microsoft a
few days ago and I am getting the same error 1935, when I try to installed
Office. Vista has been updated with all the available patches too. So, if
some one knows how to get around this problem, please let us know. I have
also tried to install Office from a fresh download.

Thanks

I installed Vista 64 and Office 2007 from DVDs I received from Microsoft a
few days ago, and have also tried fresh Office downloads on a system I
started by deleting previous partition. No matter what I have done the
error has not gone away and installations have failed. If someone knows a
way around this problem, please let us know.

Thanks
