I'm attempting to install Peachtree by sage software and continue to get the
following error message.
"Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762,processorArchitecture="x86"'.
Please refer to Help and Support for more information.

Contact Peachtree tech support for help with their program or post in the
Sage user forums for your specific product. I did a quick Google for your
error and didn't find anything definitive so it is best for you to go to
the source (the company).

I have contacted Peachtree, they tell me its a Vista error, something to do
with the .net something. They told me to restore, I tried to do so at as far
back as is available. It keeps telling me restore failed. Sage says I have to
restore/reinstall Vista. Vista came already loaded in the computer, I'm not
sure which is the best way to do this. Had hoped to find a solution instead
of loosing all data & program preferences. I do have a back up of the data on
an external hard drive.

I'm sorry to hear that. Without knowing exactly what Peachtree tech support
said, I can't comment except to say that I very much doubt reinstalling
Windows is a Good Thing or the right solution.

Perhaps posting in the Peachtree user forums would be a good next step. You
may find someone reading this newsgroup who sees your post and has had your
exact issue, but the chances of that are slim compared to people posting on
the Peachtree user forums.

Good luck,

Malke
