Error when opening Outlook 2003

I get an error when opening Outlook 2003. "extend.dat file missing. What do I do to fix this issue?

With Outlook closed, search your hard drive (make sure you look within hidden
folders) and see if you can find an extend.dat file. If so, delete it and
Outlook will create a new one. You won't lose any information.
