Error message when opening Outlook 2003

I get an error message when opening Outlook (extend.dat file missing). I also seem to no longer be archiving my sent messages in the "sent" box. Can someone tell me what is going on and hot to fix it?

Either delete or rename the file extend.dat in your Outlook profile.
Outlook will re-build it when you restart.
