Error When Opening Movie Maker

Movie Maker worked find until I uninstalled another movie editing program I
had installed. After I did that Movie Maker gets an error when opening and
wants to send a report. How can I fix this? Can I re-install Movie Maker
without re-installing Windows?

Did you try doing a system restore to
a time before you uninstalled the *other*
program?

Is it possible that you also installed IE7?
If you did...it may be worth a try to uninstall it.
(If you are running Vista...disregard this idea)

If you are running Windows XP...you
might try reinstalling SP2...it includes
Movie Maker 2.1.

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.

I decided to check what version of Explorer I had installed and didn't
realize I had 7 since I never use it. It must have auto updated and that was
what cause MM getting errors because once I uninstalled it MM works fine.
