Error when copying files

When I attempt to copy a high level folder from my Master HD to my Slave HD,
after a while I get an error box saying that it canot transfer one
particular file.
When I select OK, which is the only option, the copy aborts.
Is there any way I can do the copy whereby the process will continue to
completion, ignoring the problem file?

What do you mean by "high level folder"? What file won't copy? Does the
error box say why? Perhaps the file is in use. If that is the case, try
copying what you want in Safe Mode.
