Error when browsing from 1 W2K computer to another W2K computer

Doug

I am having a problem that I hoping anyone can help me
solve.
I have 2 conmputers, 1 laptop and 1 desktop, connected to
a router. Both computers are running W2K with SP4. I am
able to browse the desktop from the laptop using "My
Network places" including connecting to shared printers.
However, when I try and browse the laptop from the desktop
I get the following error message, "\\<computer name> is
not accessible The server is not configured for
transactions."
I have swapped out the router for a switch and the problem
still exists. I have moved the laptop to anoter network
location, and the problem still exists.
Both computers can ping each other just fine. The only
firewall is on the router between the computers and the
internet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Doug

Make sure both computers are in the same workgroup and all useraccounts
exist on all computers.

Robert,
I did a "net share ipc$" and worked perfectly. Thanks so
much. I really appreciate it.

Is netbios over TCP/IP enabled in the lansettings of the computers?
What does a IPCONFIG /All on both computers give?
