I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Pro, MS Office XP
Small Business, NAV 2004, BoClean, and ZoneAlarm Plus installed. I have the
latest updates for windows XP and the other software programs. My computer
appears to run without any problems such as hang-ups, shutdowns, etc.
However, about once or twice a week I will see the below error in the Event
Viewer (Applications). So far, I have not been able to tie the error to
anything that I am doing. Any suggestions toward resolving this situation
would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Sam.
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1517
Date: 2/23/2004
Time: 9:12:12 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: Eagle
Description:
Windows saved user Eagle\Sam registry while an application or service was
still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring
the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
