Error trying to connect to database on the server

When using the connection wizard, i get the following error:

Cannot access the database server or computer Ethoserver. For more
information, click help.
 
I did a test and set this up on a machine running XP Professional and we are
all able to connect over the network. For some reason, i cannot connect to
the database on the Windows 2003 Server machine. If anyone has any
suggestions, please email me. Thank you for all of your help.
