Error Stop Message

A friend of mine keeps getting this error.
The diagnostic tells them that everything is fine.
Anyone know what is causing it? This is all the info I
have, if its not enough sorry for posting.

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down
to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you have seen this stop error
screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears
again, follow these steps:
Run a system diagnostic utility supplied by your
hardware manufacturer. In particular, run a memory check,
and check for faulty or mismatched memory. Try changing
Video adaptors. Disable or remove any newly installed
hardware and drivers. If you need to use safe mode to
remove or disable components, restart your computer, press
f8 to select advanced start up options, and select safe
mode.

Technical information:

.
Sara,
go to this MS site:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/X
P/all/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?
url=/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-
us/prmd_stp_ukdq.asp
(WATCH the wrap)
It will list some of the possible causes for this error.
Sometimes just reseating your RAM modules can clear up
any faulty memory issues. Check windowsupdate for any
critical updates. Check for updated drivers for any of
your components. (video, sound cards, etc.)
It's a starting place, good luck.
