error running program

P

Pearson

When I double click on my icon for an older windows based
application, I get the following error:

The FileSysChange paramterin the SYSTEM.INI file is
invalid for Netware.

then it asks if I want the value reset for Netware....

I have tried telling it Yes then rebooting like it says,
then the next time that I click on the same icon I get
the same error again.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

What is most likely happening is that the software you are
using using terminal services aware, and is probably
trying to write to the system.ini file in the main Windows
directory, rather than to the system.ini file of your
profile. To verify this, try running filemon from
www.sysinternals.com as an admin while a normal user
obtains this error.

Also, can you ferify that the FileSysChange entry in
system.ini is in both the user's systen.ini in their home
directory and in the system's system.ini in the C:\Windows
folder?
