Whenever I get a crash etc..., the Error Reporting comes
up, I click on Send report and get another window in
essence stating, "No internet Connection, you must be
connected to the internet". Anyone have any ideas as to
why?

You have to have an active connection to the internet to send the error
report. DO YOU? If not, log on! Then hit the send button!

Yes I do, using cable modem, someone once said it's
possibly the router?

Thanks

I also get this error reporting when I am in the middle of
some thing, why does this come up, any idea? I click send
report, it does send and I have to click the box
close. This does not happen in Windows 98.

Thanks

Richie, the error report is sent, as e-mails are sent,
over the internet. By the way, have you been getting
more and more crashes on your winXP system? Seems mine
is looking more like Win98 everyday.

This is a new feature in XP that lets users tell Microsoft when a problem
happens. This way we can look through and see what part of Windows crashed
and try to make it more resilient for the future.

In Windows 98, it was much harder for us to tell what was causing our users
problems.
