I don't know if this has been asked before...

Everytime I turn on my pc and my Win XP starts, I ALWAYS
get his annoying pop-up window "NT On-Access Scanner
Service" error report. Can anyone please tell me how to
get rid of this thing from popping up everytime.

Many thanks

1. Start Windows XP in safe mode.
2. Disable the service "NT On-Access Scanner Service"
3. Reboot
4. Uninstall you antivirus software
5. Reboot

This error message usually comes from installing VirusScan Online and not
removing your old virus software completely. Depending on what your old
virus software was, there are different ways to completely remove it so you
don't get the error message anymore. Check the av's website for removal
tools or instructions.
