error reading folder Help!!!!

I did a check disc on a drive...now every time I boot the
computer runs check disc. It checks about 16% and then
errors "error reading folder (null).". The computer
finishes booting and runs without issue.

I tried running it with both check boxes (auto fix
errors) and (scan and attempt recovery of bad sectors)
and get same result...."error reading folder (null).".
Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone know
what the error means and/or how to stop check disc from
running???

Open checkdisk properties and uncheck the block that says
something like "run checkdisk on every boot". To have it
complete a check try running it in safe mode. I cant say
for sure but I believe the error is because of background
programs running and they cant be checked, safe mode
should stop this from happening.
