Error Pop-up

I use XP on a SONY VAIO .

When I open an Explorer page, I get repeated pop-ups (4-5) stating that
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and will close.
It does NOT close, but I must manually click-off the individual pop-ups.
A sample of the Error Signature is:

AppName : wtoolsa.exe
AppVer : 1.0.6.3
ModName : wtools.exe
ModVer : 1.0.6.3
Offset : 00003a08

What is this and how can I fix it ??????

Go to Windows Update and scan for the latest bug fixes.
